KIDS HELPING KIDS
Hip Hop Saves Lives and Negus World created an after school program called KIDS HELPING KIDS, A HIP HOP EXPERIENCE. In this program we teach HUMANITY through HIP HOP. Here is how it works.
1. We teach the children an issue of humanity
2. They write lyrics about what they have learned
3. They pick a beat then record their lyrics to create a song
4. We shoot a full length music video for the song
5. At the end of the semester we make a cd of their music and produce fund raising parties to sell their cd. 100% of the proceeds go to supporting schools in Africa and Haiti. So they don't just learn about humanity they become humanitarians through the program!!!! What could be better than giving our children the experience of being a humanitarian!!!!
We have raised $700 dollars with our kids last cd. We need a ticket to Haiti to take the fund to our sister program. We always show documented proof of where our kids money goes. We also run the program at our sister school in Haiti so we need to visit our kids there and give them love as well!!!
